If you like to barbecue, keeping a ‘barbie box’ with a few essentials makes life a lot easier when enjoying cooking out and about. Cleaning up after cooking is also important, so these are the key products and steps to follow:

How to clean a bbq

1. Throw water over the plate, enough to let you clean the surface without dousing it.
2. Let the water bubble, then scrape off residue with scraper while the plate is still warm (true blue Aussies use beer for this first step! 🍺)
3. Let the plate cool, add a sprinkle of Bar Keeper’s Friend powder, then use scourer to scrub the surface clean.
4. Rinse the Bar Keeper’s Friend off with splash of water, then wipe over with BBQ wipes
